FAQs
How long will my air-filled balloons stay inflated for?
As long as they are stored in room temperature, in general, most air-filled balloons will last for 6-8 weeks. Keeping balloons indoors and away from direct sunlight will extend their longevity.
How does the weather affect my balloons?
Lots of molecules are needed to fill the capacity of the balloon. These molecules are susceptible to temperature. If the balloons get cold, the molecules will get smaller and the balloon will shrink. If the balloons get hot, the molecules will expand from the heat and make them expand larger, which could cause them to pop.
Can you leave air-filled balloons in a hot car?
Please don’t leave balloons in a hot car. Heat will make balloons expand and could cause them to pop. We recommend that you use air conditioning in your vehicle when transporting balloons on a hot day.
How should I dispose of my balloons after my event?
Please dispose of your balloons in your household waste where they will decompose in a landfill. Mylar balloons are made with nylon that have a metallic coating which are recyclable but not biodegradable. They will be in landfills forever, so please recycle them along with your recyclable plastics.
Why do we only offer air-filled balloons?
Air-filled balloons often last for weeks at a time, where as helium balloons only last a few days. Being able to properly dispose of balloons instead of releasing helium filled balloons helps to be more environmentally friendly. When releasing helium filled balloons into the sky, they could take hundreds of years to biodegrade. Over time, these balloon pieces get smaller and smaller and eventually turn into microplastics. Being able to dispose of them properly also helps save animals because they’re often ingested and animals can also get entangled in the balloon debris. Balloons can even cause power outages when balloons come in contact with the power lines.
